Parassen began in 2011 as a modest lakeside gaming house with eleven tables and a single dining room. The founders had one conviction: that a genuine casino resort could not be assembled from a hotel chain's spare wing. It had to be designed from its foundations as a single, coherent estate, where the architecture of the suites, the pacing of the gaming floor, and the rhythm of the restaurants all answered to one another.
Over the following decade, Parassen expanded parcel by parcel around the lake, acquiring the pine forest to its east, restoring the nineteenth-century boathouse that now anchors our spa, and commissioning the amphitheater that today seats twelve hundred guests beneath a retractable glass roof. Every addition was tested against the same question: does this deepen what a casino resort can be, or merely add square footage to one? Anything that failed that test was set aside.
Today, Parassen Casino Resort is recognized among European gaming estates for a floor that rewards serious players, a culinary program helmed by chefs who have earned their own recognition elsewhere, and a suite collection that guests describe less as hotel rooms and more as private residences with a casino resort attached. We remain independently owned, which lets us make decisions the way the founders always intended — slowly, and only in service of the guest standing in front of us.

The heart of any serious casino resort is its floor, and ours was designed by the same team that laid out the gaming rooms in Baden-Baden and Estoril. Marble underfoot, brass rails at the elbow, and sightlines that let a pit boss see every table from the center of the room without a single security monitor in view.

A private lounge for players who have earned it
Parassen operates a three-tier membership program — Copper, Onyx, and Obsidian — that tracks play across the entire casino resort, not just the gaming floor. Dining, spa treatments, and suite nights all accrue toward status, because we've found our most loyal guests rarely separate an evening at the tables from the rest of their stay.
Obsidian members, our highest tier, hold a standing reservation at any restaurant on property, complimentary access to the High Limit Room's private entrance, a dedicated relationship manager reachable directly by phone, and two annual nights in our Lakeview Villa at no charge. Membership is invitation-based above Copper tier and reviewed quarterly by our VIP services team.
Five restaurants, one culinary direction
A casino resort is judged as much by its tables in the dining room as its tables on the floor. Parassen's five restaurants are led by chefs given full creative latitude, unified only by a single house rule: everything is sourced within four hours of the lake, or it does not appear on the menu.
Restaurant Elde — Tasting Counter, 9 Seats
Our flagship room seats nine guests around an open hearth kitchen for a single nightly tasting menu that changes with the lake's own calendar.
The Wine Vault Grill
A steak and seafood room built into the resort's original stone cellar, favored by our poker room's late-night players for its kitchen that runs until 2am.
96 residences, none of them a standard hotel room
Every suite at Parassen was drawn by the same architectural firm that laid out the gaming floor, so the transition from table to terrace never feels like leaving one building for another.
Lakeview Suite — 62m²
Floor-to-ceiling glazing over the water, a freestanding soaking tub, and a stocked minibar curated by our sommelier. Our entry category, and still the most requested.
Brass Suite — 98m²
A private sitting room, a walk-in dressing area, and direct express-lift access to the High Limit Room three floors below. Named for the rail that runs the length of our gaming floor.
Obsidian Penthouse — 210m²
Our top-floor residence with a private plunge pool, a butler's pantry, and a dedicated elevator that bypasses the lobby entirely. Reserved almost exclusively for Obsidian members.
Boathouse Villa — 340m²
A standalone two-bedroom villa built into the restored nineteenth-century boathouse, with its own dock, sauna, and private access to the spa's thermal circuit.
Pine Residence — 180m²
Set back among the eastern pines for guests who want quiet after the gaming floor, with a wood-burning stove and a private outdoor bath.
The Founders' Suite — 145m²
Furnished with pieces from the original 2011 gaming room, this suite is offered as a single nightly booking and rarely available with less than ninety days' notice.
A 1,240-seat amphitheater beneath a retractable glass roof
No casino resort is complete without a stage worth leaving the tables for. Our amphitheater hosts a rotating calendar of chamber orchestras, jazz residencies, and late-night cabaret, closing each evening with a lounge set that runs until the gaming floor itself winds down near dawn.
The glass roof retracts on clear evenings from May through September, turning the final set of the night into an open-air performance under the lake's own sky. Seating is available by the night or as part of an Obsidian membership's standing reservation.
